Don Schultz

Don Schultz and his wife Judy joined St. Matthias in 1987 when they entered into the RCIA process.  He celebrated confirmation and Judy received baptism at the Easter vigil of 1988.  Four weeks after Easter, he and Judy were married.  Shortly after, they joined the Adult Formation Team and helped lead the RCIA Team, on which they served in various capacities to present.  Don is a member of the Buildings & Grounds Committee, the Technology Committee, and the Men’s Life Ministry.  In his first year, Don was the Council liaison to the Administrative Services Committee.  This is his fourth year on Council.

Dave and his wife Tina, a third grade teacher at our Parish school, have been parishioners for 9 years.  They love and appreciate the vibrancy of the St. Matthias community.  Their oldest son, Tim, a graduate of St. Matthias Parish School, is a sophomore at MUHS, and their other two boys, Andrew and Ben, currently attend our school.  This is Dave's third year on Parish Council and also in his third year on the School Advisory Committee (SAC).

Robert has been a member of St Matthias since 2009.  He is married to Dawn and they have two daughters, Rebecca and Emily, which attend school in Brookfield.  Robert and Dawn live in Waukesha.  Robert originally came to the parish in 2007 attending church with his father, Erwin.  Robert works for Lowe’s as a Human Resources Manager.  This is Robert’s second year on Council.  Robert is the Secretary of the Parish Council.

Don and his wife Jennifer have a daughter Rebecca, a 2007 graduate of St. Matthias School, now attending the University of Tampa.  Don has been a life member of St. Matthias, participating in many ministries.  He is serving the first year of his third two-year term as a trustee.

Kathy Iggens has been a parish member for over 35 years, serving in many volunteer positions and as an employee in the school office, retiring in June 2006, after twenty-five years of service. Kathy and her late husband George have four children, all of whom graduated from St. Matthias Parish School, and are active in the parish. Kathy is serving the first year of her third two-year term as parish trustee/treasurer.

Liaison to Deaf Community

Arvilla Rank is serving her second year as a Parish Council member.  She served the past two and a half years as liaison between the Council and Catholic Deaf Community.  Arvilla will continue to serve as liaison to the Catholic Deaf Community in which she is very active.  She joined St. Matthias Parish in January 2008.  She was previously a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Deaf Community in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC.  She is retired and works part time as Project Coordinator for the National Catholic Office for the Deaf, Landover Hills, Maryland.

Liaison to Human Concerns Committee

Chuck and his wife Rita have been members of St. Matthias for approximately 12 years.  They have 3 daughters that attended or are still in St. Matthias Parish School.  Over the years, Chuck and his wife have been facilitators for Baptism classes and Christian Formation.  Chuck and his daughter Melissa are facilitators for FEET.  Other committees Chuck is a member on FEET Advisory Committee, Spiritual Life and Worship Committee, Evangelization Committee, and The Men's Life Ministry.  This is his second year with the Council.  He is the Parish Council liaison to the Human Concerns Committee.

Liaison Faith Empowering and Engaging Teens

Steve Jaeckels and his wife, Kathy joined St. Matthias Parish in 1998.  Steve's older daughter, Jessica, graduated from St. Matthias Parish School in 2009, and his younger daughter, Beckie, is in eighth grade this year at St. Matthias.  Steve has served in three positions on the Home and School Association’s Executive Board.  He served as the Music Minister for the Sunday Morning Christian Formation program for 10 years, and is in his 13th year of serving as a Cantor and Children’s Liturgy Music Minister.  He was active in the Building for All Generations Capital Campaign.  He is currently a member of the F.E.E.T (Faith Empowering and Engaging Teens) Advisory Committee and liaison to the FEET Committee.

Liaison Development Committee

Brian is a senior at Cardinal Stritch University, where he is pursuing a major in Religious Studies with a focus on Youth Ministry.  Brian has been a long time parish member engaging a lot of time with the youth.

During high school, Brian had been a part of the YAC group and for two years was on the Core Committee.  Brian also served for numerous years as a Eucharistic Minister, Christian Formation Assistant, Confirmation Peer Leader, and a Group Workcamp participant.  Some of his hobbies include singing, volleyball, watching horror movies, and cheering on his favorite team, the Brewers.  This is his fourth year with the Council.

Liaison Spiritual Life, and Worship

John has been a parish member since 1982.  He currently serves the parish as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister.  He is the liaison for the Spiritual Life and Worship Committee.  John has been married for 30 years and has three grown children.  He is retired from Froedtert Malt Company where he worked for 30 years.  He has a strong background in Franciscan Studies, currently a member of the Secular Franciscan Order.

This is Edwin’s fourth year on Parish Council.  He is married to Sangeeta.  They have two children:  Rohan, a graduate of St. Matthias Parish School, and Juhi, a fifth grader at St. Matthias Parish School.  They have been parish members for six years.  Edwin is the Council liaison to the Human Concerns Committee

Having been a member of St. Matthias since 2000 Jean is a Eucharistic Minister at 7:30 mass, encourages others to become Eucharistic Ministers, has served as RCIA sponsor and parish picnic volunteer.  She is a 1990 graduate of Alverno College and in 2008 became one of 20 women to be the first to graduate from Alverno’s MBA program.  Jean is the distribution and logistics manager for a private label food manufacturer in Franklin.  She has two adult children and enjoys playing tennis and upholstery.  Along with husband Mark, Jean thoroughly enjoys time spent with three grandchildren.

Liaison Lifelong Faith Formation

Chuck and his wife Janice have been parishioners of the Saint Matthias community since 1979.  They are blessed with three children who all attended and graduated from the Saint Matthias Parish School.  His past service to the parish includes serving with his wife as Marriage Preparation Facilitators for three years and the Property Management Committee for four years.  He also chaired the Property Management Committee.  Chuck currently serves as a lector, which he has done for more than 30 years.

Phoebe Kitzke has been married for fifty-five years to William.  They have six children (two boys and four girls).  She has been a member of St. Matthias Parish for seven years and belongs to the Adult Choir and the Resurrection Choir.  They previously belonged to Holy Assumption Parish for forty-one years, where Phoebe was very active in several ministries.  She has spent many years helping the Girl Scouts, including being on the Board of Directors.  She and her husband are retired.  This is Phoebe’s second term on the Council.  She is the liaison to Spiritual Life, and Worship
