The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice which embodies our thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given. Made in prayer, as prayer, and for prayer, the shawls are passed on hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.
The prayer shawl is meant to be a sign of God’s healing presence in one’s life. May it surround and remind one of God’s caring, protection, wholeness, strength, healing, and patience to enfold, encircle and empower.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11:00 am in the parish office conference room. All are welcome. For more information or to get involved, contact Maxine at 1-262-650-0673.
