Our Pastoral Staff

Fr. David Cooper, Pastor
Fr. Dave coordinates and serves the entire parish as its pastor.
He promotes the parish mission and all of our ministries. He collaborates
with the pastoral staff and Parish Council primarily, but also
with every dimension of parish life in general. His concern is
the welfare of each parishioner and the whole community.

Fr. Dennis Witz, Associate Pastor
As Associate Pastor, Fr. Dennis assists with Masses, baptisms, weddings,
anointings and funerals along with all other sacramental and prayer
ministries.

David Bonofiglio , Director of Liturgical Music
Dave plans music for all parish Sunday, holyday, vespers, prayer services and sacramental celebrations. He is the primary accompanist for all these events and director of the Adult Choir and Adult Handbells, cantors and instrumentalists. Dave also supervises the various youth ensemble directors: Youth Choir, Jr. High Handbells, and High School Handbells.

Ray Ellingen , Director of Administrative Services
Ray manages the administrative needs of the parish. In this capacity, he is responsible for finance, human resources, facilities management, computer and information technology, and the parish cemetery.

Mark Joerres, Principal
Mark is responsible for promoting a value-based curriculum/program
which incorporates lifelong learning skills. Our students are engaged
in interactive activities at all grade levels in Jr. K-8. With high
standards as the framework, the teachers and staff whom he supervises
are dedicated to each child's education by advocating a commitment
to excellence. He also oversees a wide range of extra-curricular
activities as well as athletic programs that are available to students.

Marian Lamoureux, Director of Catechesis
Marian is responsible for catechesis for children and youth pre-school through high school, including preparation for the sacraments of First Eucharist, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation. She works with Coordinators for the Children’s Initiation Process (children age 7 and older who have not been baptized), Liturgy of the Word with Children, and high school Christian Formation. She oversees Youth Ministry activities, including Work Camp. She is the lead person to implement Whole Community Catechesis in our parish and serves as the staff liaison to the Lifelong Faith Formation Committee.

Brigid O'Donnell, Pastoral Associate
Brigid’s responsibilities include Adult Enrichment opportunities, RCIA, Evangelization, Adult Confirmation preparation, Infant Baptism preparation, new parishioners, Sister Parish Committee, ministry to those who are divorced, Tri-parish collaboration planning team, Parish Council formation and a liaison with the Deaf community.

Deacon David Sommers, Deaf Ministry
David was ordained a deacon on June 3, 2000. He oversees the Deaf Community of St. Matthias Parish. He also maintains contact with Deaf people throughout the Archdiocese. He leads prayer groups and Bible study, and also provides service to the Deaf Community at St. Andrew Parish in Delavan, Wisconsin.

Jeff Van Dalen, Director of Liturgy
Jeff is responsible for all liturgy planning and coordination, including training liturgical ministers (altar servers, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, ushers). He is the staff liaison to the Spiritual Life and Worship Committee.
