Ms. Sarah Behling

My name is Sara Behling and I am the Guidance Counselor at St. Matthias Parish School. To start, I will give you a little background about myself. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Psychology. From there, I went to Concordia University where I received my Master’s degree in Educational Counseling. Before I was hired here, at St. Matthias, I worked for a K-12 Milwaukee Public School as a counseling intern.

My personal approach to counseling is one that is proactive. My job is to provide tools to help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills. My goal is that students will become successful, young adults by utilizing the skills and knowledge they have learned. Some of the major themes the students and I will be discussing throughout the school year consist of organization, study skills, conflict management, healthy choices, bullying prevention, and career exploration.

My number one priority is your child/children. I am here to offer advice, support, or merely a listening ear.
