St. Matthias Kindergarten is a very exciting place for a child to learn and grow. We offer a full day Kindergarten program with a capacity of 25 students in each class. During the year, the students are very busy in the classroom and throughout the school. They have physical education, music, Spanish, computer, art and guidance classes. They also visit the school library once a week. In the classroom, there is a balance between free choice and social interaction with academic learning. During the year, they learn school routines and rules, how to interact properly with peers and adults, and many areas of learning including reading, writing, arithmetic, social studies, science, and religion. There are two computers for their use in the classroom.

I have been teaching Kindergarten at St. Matthias School since the fall of 1996. My two sons attend school at St. Matthias and my husband and I are active members of the parish.  I am especially involved in the handbell choirs. The Kindergarten students at St. Matthias School learn a lot academically during the school year. They also have a lot of fun!
