Our class mascot is the Energizer Bunny, and like him, we just keep going, and going, and going! In third grade, the main focus is on preparing the students for the transition from primary to intermediate grades. In religion, we study the four marks of the Church, the Ten Commandments, the Sacraments, and the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. As a special service project, we collect birthday party supplies for needy children.

Reading and Language Arts require more independent work as the students strengthen their vocabulary and comprehension skills. Cursive writing is introduced, and is used for most school work by the end of the year. In Math, addition and subtraction skills are reviewed and multiplication and division are introduced. "Communities" is the title of our Social Studies text, and we compare our community to others in the United States and around the world.
