Ms. Beth Patsches

I am a recent graduate of Mount Mary College where I received my degree in education. I have high expectations for each and every student that walks in to my classroom. I am thoroughly looking forward to teaching at Saint Matthias!

Throughout the remainder of the year, students will be writing for various purposes. Students will be productively learning about all the elements of language. They will then be using these skills to continually work on their journals and to write papers on an assortment of topics. Each class will be based upon the theory of Six Traits of Writing.

In literature, students will be reading several different novels and will also be doing an author study. Students will be required to read 20 minutes every night on a book of their own choice. In religion, students will be focusing on the Creed and other religions in the world.

Overall, each student will be learning how to be a successful and respectful citizen. Besides the core classes, students will be working on learning skills that they will use successfully in high school and beyond.
