$crip Rebate Program :

After Easter Break --- New Deadline for Scrip Orders is 3 PM on Thursdays

Parishioners who participate in the rebate program help offset the costs of providing a quality Catholic education to the students of St. Matthias School or Christian Formation families. School or Christian Formation families can earn credit toward their children's tuition through this program. For more information, contact the school office at 414-321-0894.

Scrip is a method of purchasing "certificates" for groceries, retail stores, restaurants and gas stations that can be used for purchases at these establishments. St. Matthias purchases the certificates at a discount and sells them at face value. For day school and Christian Formation families, the profit is applied to tuition for the following year. For others, the profit is realized as income to the parish.  Scrip purchasers can also elect to give their profit to the Educational Endowment Fund or to help offset parish general operating costs.  Families with students attending Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee can apply their profits toward tuition at those schools.

Order forms are available from the school office. It costs nothing to participate and the profits that St. Matthias earns are used for the support of the many vital ministries that we have at St. Matthias.

For those who are not participating in this program, please consider doing so. Here's an example of how you can help your parish:

• If you purchase $100 per week on Scrip certificates for groceries, gas, etc., and the average discount is 3%, St. Matthias would realize income of $3 per week or $156 per year from your purchases.
• If 100 parishioners did this, St. Matthias would have an additional $15,600 per year for our ministries.
• If 300 parishioners did this, St. Matthias would have an additional $46,800 per year for our ministries.

We have many families in the parish without children in the school or Christian Formation programs. If you are one of these families, would you please consider using the Scrip program? If you are not sure how to get started, please call the School Office for help at 414-321-0894.
