Mrs. Rachele Wehr
My name is Rachele Wehr. I have been teaching at St. Matthias School since 1990. I teach 4th Grade. I have one rule in my classroom. It is to show respect at all times. I positively reinforce this concept with the use of incentives and stamp books. In my room we stress living the FISH Philosophy.
We do "sweet" acts of kindness for each other each day!
I believe children learn more when they are having fun and immersed in the subject I am teaching. I use hands on activities and games whenever possible. My lessons stress a lot of reading and writing activities. We publish our final drafts in a variety of ways. My students' work decorates my classroom walls, hallways, and door.
Some of the highlights of 4th grade are the following: learning about the sacrament of Reconciliation and the Ten Commandments, going on an overnight camping trip to Camp Vista, having a Halloween bake sale, taking field trips to learn about Wisconsin, creating new scientific inventions, and doing a chocolate unit covering all curricular areas.
